Parent Involvement

Region 15 Head Start values the participation of parents in our Head Start program. We believe a parent's participation is vital to their child's development.

How to participate:

  • Parent/Teacher Conferences 2 times per year to review ongoing assessments
  • 2 home visits with Teacher to establish and review School Readiness Goals
  • 2 home visits with FSW to establish family/personal goals
  • Parent meetings (held monthly - see your Family Service Worker for details)
  • Policy Committee meetings (held monthly - see your Family Service Worker for details)
  • Volunteer in the classroom 
  • Parent/Child Activities to do at home

How Do I Give Input to my Child's Learning?

Participate by Attending Your Child's 2nd Parent Teacher Conference at the End of April 2025

Teachers are going to share how your child has progressed from the beginning of the school year to their last ongoing assessment reports from April. They will also share activities to do for the summer to help extend your child's learning in a fun way.
